Association des Luthiers et Archetiers pour le Développement de la Facture Instrumentale du quatuor (Aladfi) was founded in 1982 at the initiative of luthiers and bow makers, both restorers and makers. It promotes a renewed approach to the profession, highlights contemporary instrument making among musicians, and encourages musical practice.

BVBM asbl-vzw (Belgian Violin & Bow Makers) brings together professional quartet luthiers and bow makers active in Belgium. It fosters the exchange of expertise, reflection on professional ethics, training and legal frameworks, and dialogue with institutions. The association also promotes these crafts to the general public, musicians and decision-makers, while developing close collaboration with musicians to enhance their working tools.

La Chambre Syndicale de la Facture Instrumentale, founded in 1890, brings together manufacturers, craftsmen and retailers involved in the making, repair, restoration, distribution and export of musical instruments and related accessories. It also federates several professional luthiers’ associations as well as organizations representing retailers and piano technicians.

IPCI France Europe is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and sustainable use of pernambuco wood (Paubrasilia echinata). Established in Paris in 2000 at the initiative of master bow makers, it works in partnership with NGOs and Brazilian authorities on replanting, conservation, scientific research and traceability of existing stocks. The largest IPCI entity in terms of membership, it acts alongside IPCI-USA and IPCI-Allemagne as a key interlocutor at COP meetings and major events with CITES.

Music Fund is a Belgian non-profit organization supporting music schools and socio-artistic projects in conflict areas, developing countries and across Europe. It collects instruments, repairs them and redistributes them, while placing training for instrument repairers and the creation of workshops at the heart of its mission to ensure sustainable impact and enable trained artisans to build a profession within their region.
